Liz Herring
Liz Herring has been a gymnastic coach since 1985 in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. She took some time off from coaching after her husband passed away, but missed it greatly, and felt that there was a need in Ignacio for a predominantly girls sport. She believed the community had many of the qualities including diversity and a small town ethic that would welcome a family based program like Ignite Gymnastics. In the three years that she has been a tenant at the ELHI, she has served hundreds of children through the recreational development program and has had 8 state championships and 2 silver medalists at regionals.
Liz truly believes that there is a spark in every child and that the ELHI is a valuable asset to the town of Ignacio. She see that the programs and services it offers are extremely beneficial to the community, and that without the ELHI, many of those services would not be present. She hopes to help the ELHI by not only providing the gymnastics services to the community, but also to ensure the success and longevity of current programs as well as the development of new programs.

Ann Salviazul
Ann lives in Bayfield and works in her art and picture framing studio in Ignacio, Colorado. She received her BA in Fine Arts and has worked in many art and design fields, served in community and civic organizations, as well as volunteered for several nonprofit organizations.
As a tenant in The ELHI Community Center, Ann felt called to be of assistance to her work-place community and began serving on the ELHI Board of Directors in January 2020. She served as Chair of the Board until September 2022 and is currently a member at large. She feels passionate about the local community and the ELHI’s mission “to unify the community and support personal wellbeing by providing safe, holistic opportunities that support education, skill building, and resiliency”.
When Ann isn’t working in her studio or on Board business, you might see her taking mid-day walks around Ignacio, painting outdoors, or hiking, camping and traveling in the four corners area.

Yvonne Chapman
Yvonne’s roots in the Ignacio area are deep; She is a 5 th generation descendant of the Engler homestead in the Tiffany area. She grew up on a small family ranch and she is a proud alumnus of Ignacio School District. She attended Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington, fell in love with her wonderful husband, Steve, and started a family while living in the Northwest.
After spending 19 years in Washington state, she and her family moved back “home”. Steve and Yvonne have raised two great kids! Their son served 4 years in the US Marine Corp, and now resides in Phoenix AZ. Their daughter is currently attending college. Yvonne works at Hope Community Christian Academy, which is the largest tenant at the ELHI building. She has long been involved in community organizations; from growing up in the Grange to serving on the Ignacio school board, San Juan BOCES board, TARA board, Church session, FFA Booster Club, and ELHI board. It is important to Yvonne to be an engaged member of the community.

Marie Horn
Marie Horn retired after 30 years of service as the Finance Director for Ignacio School District (ISD). Alongside her professional career, Marie and her husband successfully ran their own business, Brothers Concrete Company, for over 30 years.
Her community involvement extends beyond her work life. Marie volunteered on a committee that helped pass a Mill Levy for the ISD, demonstrating her dedication to supporting local education. Additionally, she has been an active member with 4-H, serving as a leader for 3 years and as a project leader on numerous occasions.
